Now tell me who did not like the movie '3 Idiots'? Evryone was really fascinated by it! Everyone of us is so proud to call himself an idiot... But here comes the shocking news- I DID NOT like that movie.... The worst thing in it is the 'chamatkarik' speech. A rape is committed in India at every 4 hours. This does not include eve-teasing and molestation cases). Is it right to crack such jokes? And then laugh at it? I absolutely agree that the movie has not encouraged the act but is it something to make fun of? Didn't our parents teach us 'andhe ko andha nahi kahna chahiye'. In case of a blind person, its his fate. But what is it in rape cases? What wrong was done by the victim? But still, 'she' suffers. She suffers a lot! And we laugh at 'Chamtkars' made in that movie. How many of us know about 'Aruna Shanbaag' case? Those who don't, please google it and find out how horrible it is!
You must be wondering why I am so much against a 'movie'. I know it's a movie. It is a bollywood movie. But then bollywood movies are one of the most influential aspects of our society. They banned on-screen smoking. Then what about these 'chamtkars'? Who is going to keep a watch on this?
Even if we forget this 'chamtkar' part in the movie, its pathetic. I mean it's not realistic at all. The way Rancho behaves in the class of the best engineering college in the country is not acceptable. This is hard for me to say but, Amir Khan has underperformed. Can't simply believe is the same person who played 'ACP Ajay Rathore' (Sarfarosh), Bhuvan (Lagaan), DJ (Rang De Basanti). And Boman Irani? I used to write his name alognwith Nana Patekar for 'my fav actor' in slam books.... I regret that... Rancho and Co. does not seem to be serious at all at the time of the delivery. As if they know it's going to be a happy end with the newborn kicking evrytime they say 'all izz well'!! Can you believe any American Co. would tie up with a person they haven't even seen? Mr. Fungshuk Wengdu' has more than 400 patents, mind you.. And yes, the Japenese are trying for him too! What a crap!
Now please don't think I am anti-bollywood or nething. I am used to these movies, like you. But then why was this movie such a big hit? I simply don't understand this. It could have been like 'any other bollywood movie'. But its not! It has topped the list of maximum earnings all time! Besides, Amir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are my favorite actor and director, respectively. Such cheap jokes were not at all expected from people related to 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Munnabhai MBBS' and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'. This is another reason for me to hate that movie.
I can go on and on and on! But i have to conclude somewhere. So, in the conclusion, I HAVE NOT LOST MY MORAL SENSES YET! I AM A SENSIBLE PERSON! I AM NOT AN IDIOT!
